Welcome To America, Mr. Mxyzptlk

Used to be that immigrants to America Anglicized their names to help assimilate. Now, they keep their names, because assimilation isn't an issue and they don't need to blend in. That's fine with me, even though my name was an Ellis Island shortening/Anglicization of another name, the spelling of which escapes me. (New York Times)
