The Helmets Aren't Enough
-
In April, a University of Pennsylvania football player killed himself. An autopsy shows that he had the same brain disease over 20 deceased NFL players had. It's called chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and it's linked to depression and impulse control problems, including two suicides of former NFL players. There is something happening with brain damage from football, and doesn't that make the way the Eagles sent Stewart Bradley and Kevin Kolb back onto the field despite what were later disclosed as concussions seem that much more inexcusable?
