Another Of Our Cultural Contributions. You're Welcome

They're hot, they're trendy, everyone in New York wants or has one: mezuzahs. Mewhat? They're the little boxy things Jews tack onto the door frame of their homes, and they contain a little scroll with a prayer. That's our religious thing (yes, I have one, even though I'm hardly observant), but non-Jews are embracing them, too, because they're... well, I don't know why, frankly, other than that they're left up when people move and the new tenants keep 'em. But the New York Times says they're being left up and embraced, so I'll defer to them. (New York Times)
