1. What got you into radio?
Career Day in Kindergarten. Dave Luczak (morning show host on WKLH/Milwaukee) was a guest speaker on "career day" and spoke about Radio. From that day forward I was fascinated with Radio. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. A few months before my 10th birthday I became an intern at WLUM producing the afternoon and night shows. To this day, I still wonder what would have happened if the guest speaker would have been a surgeon.
2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An owner of a broadcast company.
3. Is Energy a 'Dance' station?
Specifically Dance...no. Milwaukee's ENERGY1069 is a source for today's hottest music. Playing hits from multiple genre's; Rhythmic, Pop, Dance, etc. As Top 40/CHR evolves, there are great opportunities for stations that are newer, faster, cleaner and leaner. I invite you to turn us on and hear the difference.
4. What do you think a stranger to Milwaukee will find surprising about the city?
People don't walk around wearing Cheese Hats. You won't see cows and/or farms. The city's claim to fame is not Laverne and Shirley. Milwaukee is not just the beer capital of the world. Milwaukee is a very modern city, full of culture and diversity. Home to several world class colleges, an incredible art museum, public museum, city Zoo, the world's largest music festival; Summerfest, and the list keeps going. We have an incredible lakefront that is fully utilized in the summer. Also, the city is home to some excellent national sports teams; The Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, and a million and a half Green Bay Packer fans. Lastly, I think many people don't realize how close we are to Chicago, just a little more than an hour away.
5. American Idol, X-Factor or The Voice?
American Idol, because it's the original. But, I'm really liking the Voice right now.
6. What's your favorite song on the station right now?
- Macklemore - Thrift Shop
- Will.i.Am - Scream & Shout
I have two:
7. What would your 6th grade teacher say about what you're doing for a living?
Knowing that I was working in radio then and still am today, I think she would be proud.
8. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spare Time? What's that? I can't stand to be bored, so I attempt to keep myself busy all of the time. I spend time in the city, enjoying all that Milwaukee has to offer. Which includes time with friends and family. I get my daily fix at the gym. Also, I love live music. So, I attempt to experience as many concerts as possible.
9. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
Wipe Out - The ridiculously fun stunt obstacle course reality TV show.
10. Beer and pizza or sushi and sake?
Sushi and Sake. I was recently in Berlin, Germany and ate sushi for the first time. Since then, I've been on the hunt for the best sushi.
