BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I started with KKUU as an intern and worked my way up to where I am now. I've expanded my brand by picking up three out of market stations. On top of producing a total for four shows daily, I have my daily MD duties.
1. Why radio?
I've always has a passion for music and the entertainment business. From a young age, I remember being the one in my group of friends that was always up on the new music first. I would even make mix CDs for everyone. (the good old days lol.) But long story short, I went to my local station one day to pick up a prize and was given a studio tour, which lead to an internship and the rest is pretty much history.
2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
In the 5th grade I wanted to be Baby Spice so bad! (Still kinda do)
3. You've spent your radio career with KKUU. What do you see as biggest advantage in that?
Lots of built up vacations time, that's for sure lol... But seriously, there has been so many changes within the company and management, along with budget cuts and title change and the one thing that stayed consistent was ME. I feel like that speaks to my character.
4. What would probably surprise most people about your Palm Springs?
Everyone pretty much knows that Palm Springs gets hot but it always surprises people to find out, that when the sun going down, the temperature does not! Yeah, it's still 100 degrees at night in the summer!
5. Who would you love to see as the lead actress in "The Bianca Fort Story" on Netflix?
Sarah Paulson. I love her as an actress.
6. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
If I wasn't in radio, I believe I'd still be working in the music industry. I just love music too much to not be around it. I could see myself working with a label or even with a company like Spotify.
7. Taking a peek across America. What markets look like interesting markets to work and live in?
LA, the Bay Area and San Diego have always been top markets I've kept a close eye on. Also the DC area, which is close to my family and South Beach because, well I mean it's South Beach!
8. If you were a contestant on The Voice and got a four-chair turn. Who would you pick to be your coach, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys or Blake Shelton?
Gwen Stefani! Is there any other choice? She's so badass!
9. What's the most important thing your weight loss experience has given you?
The most important thing I've gain through my weight loss is the ability to be ME! It doesn't matter so much anymore what others think or feel about me because I like me.
10. Your "go to" romantic spot in Palm Springs?
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. You take a tram to one of the highest mountains in Palm Springs. The view in incredible and you can even have a romantic dinner at the top.
