BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I work as Program Director for SiriusXM FLY and Assistant Program Director for SiriusXM The Heat. My career pursuits began upon graduation from Penn St, where I got my B.A. in Communications and Media Studies. I started working on the promotional team for WQHT (Hot 97) in 2000. My passion to leave a mark in the industry led me to a position in the production department for Hot 97's sister station, Kiss FM (now ESPN Radio), while still working on the promotional team. Realizing that for me to flourish even more, I left promotions to focus on commercial production in 2002 for Emmis Communication's top three New York stations: Hot 97, 98.7 Kiss, and CD 101.9. In 2005, I was given the opportunity to advance my career within radio, to work for SiriusXM Shade 45 as an in-studio producer for all mix shows. Still pulling hours for both commercial and satellite radio, I realized the possibilities at SiriusXM and left commercial radio in late 2005. I came on board with SiriusXM producing live mix shows and as a Music Coordinator working on different stations. Since then, after working in both talk and music departments, I'm proud to be part of the world's largest audio entertainment company. I'm a fan of radio and media production, so believe me when I say… "I Make Good Radio".
1. What got you into radio, initially?
I was always into creating and working behind the lens of a project, never really wanting to be in the forefront. I wanted to be in an entertainment field and I would have taken any opportunity. Radio gave me that opportunity. I remember applying for a radio internship at a local station, but instead offered a part-time job on their street team. I was never worried about where I started, just where I finished.
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
I initially wanted to be a cop (or some type of law enforcement officer). Then my passion shifted in becoming a music video and film producer/director.
