BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
First did college radio at FIU in Miami, then interned at WMBX. I got hired on the morning show at WMBX and after a few years began helping out in the Programming department. I then became MD at WMBX. In July 2007, I transferred to our CBS Radio sister station WLLD in Tampa as MD.
1. What was your last non-Industry job?
I worked in a photo lab developing photos
2. Why Radio?
I'm a music lover...it makes perfect sense
3. What's been the biggest change in your move from West Palm Beach to WiLD and Tampa?
Tampa is a bigger party town than West Palm Beach....I never realized Tampa had so many strip clubs. lol
4. What animal would best describe you as a person and why?
Probably a dog...Dogs are pretty adaptable and social like me.
5. Beata left pretty big shoes to fill at WiLD. Were you at all intimidated by the prospect?
Not intimidated; flattered. I was in a similar position with X-cel upon receiving MD stripes at WMBX. I think that among their many successful attributes, really defining their roles specifically helped me a great deal.
6. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I would just be happy to still have a job in radio.
7. Who do you consider to be your mentor(s)?
Darnella Dunham, Mark McCray, Orlando
8. How has O changed since his marriage and baby?
I heard he can now change a dirty diaper in 50 seconds flat.
9. If you were to leave Radio today and you could choose any other occupation, what would it be?
I would love to be a photographer.
10. You are driving across country. Each night in your hotel room you have to watch the same 2 TV shows (different episodes each night). What 2 shows would they be?
MTV's Real World and Rap City
Bonus Questions
A freak gravitational shift has added three hours to everyday. What would you do with those extra three hours?
I don't get to cook as much as I would like...so cook, cook, and cook.
