1) What was your first job in radio?
Internship/phone operator.
2) What led you to a career in radio?
I always knew this is what I wanted to. When I was a little girl and my mother and I were riding around in her Volkswagen beetle, I told her I had a beautiful smile and I wanted to share it with people, so I told her I wanted to be or TV or on the radio. I was four years old
3) If you were just starting out in radio, knowing now, what you didn't then, would you still do it?
Absolutely
4) Where do you see the industry five years from now? How do you feel about satellite radio and the Internet?
I thought I'd be in the same place. I said the same thing about satellite radio and the Internet. Boy, was I wrong.
5) As you look back over your career ... any regrets?
No regrets, but I wish I could settle down and have a family like the rest of my friends.
6) How did you get your present job?
Tom Calococi recruited me when he was OM of Radio One/Baltimore. I became MD then PD of WERQ/ Baltimore and eventually was promoted to PD of WKYS here in Washington.
7) What do you do with a song you don't like?
Play it, if the research determines that it's a record that can build or sustain audience for us. I play what I like at home.
8) Describe your favorite meal?
I have many favorites. I really like it all. "I gets my eat on."
9) What "reality show" could you see yourself appearing on and why?
Amazing Race, because of the competitive nature.
10) You just won the lotto and you have your boss on the line. What's the first thing that you would say?
Nothing. I would bring my ass into work the next day.
