They Have A Reputation To Live Down
-
This TV investigation asks why some states, like Oregon and Washington, don't require background checks for carnival workers, especially in light of sex offenders managing to get hired by carnival operators and subsequently accused of sex crimes. But if they do that, will they find enough people to hire? I mean, we're talking carnies here. You know the reputation. (Oh, come on, it's a joke, people. Not all carnies are sex offenders. That's just... you know stereotypes....) (KATU-TV/Portland)
