Better To Just Hang Out, Have Some Food, Wait It Out

The 49ers and local officials promise that they'll improve matters for the next home game, but the fact remains that at the new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, it's been taking people two hours just to get out of the parking lot. The roads and freeway ramps just can't handle the volume, and the flow of pedestrians and trains block the roads. This is the case at a lot of stadia, and I don't understand why this isn't taken care of BEFORE the places open. They KNOW how many cars they can fit, and they KNOW what the roads are like. They can't engineer it so that the traffic flow is reasonable? All I know is that they redid the Dodger Stadium traffic flow and as a result, I don't go there -- I know it takes forever to get out of the place unless you (stereotypically for L.A. fans) leave early. Conversely, I never have a problem getting out of the lots at Anaheim or Philadelphia or San Diego. This is not brain surgery, and there are professionals who can plan this stuff out. Why did this get so far? (San Jose Mercury News)
