What happens when a big chain fast food company tries to go into a new ethnic food category? Well, Yum Brands has Taco Bell, and we know how they've landed on the wrong side of controversy ("drop the Chalupa"), so maybe we shouldn't be surprised that Yum's new Vietnamese chain Banh Shop has a red star, which happens to represent Communism to the Vietnamese-American folks who are now... not pleased. They're also upset that the star appears with the slogan "Saigon Street Food," since Saigon was the name before, well, you know. This shouldn't be hard to fix, since the chain's brand new and really being tested at this stage, but you'd think the marketing people would know. Then again, they say that most of Urban Outfitters' managers were "too young" to know about Kent State, so maybe not. (KTVT/Dallas)
