The No Fun State
-
A seniors home has discontinued its 10-cent-a-card bingo game because a disgruntled county employee who got told he couldn't play the game while there to serve lunch blew the whistle: It's against New Jersey state law to hold a bingo game without paying a $20 license fee and filing an application every time. This is about games that rarely reached a total $25 pot. Can we have a little common sense here? These are seniors, and bingo is something they like. Can't everyone look the other way?
