Another casualty of the California drought: apple picking. Looks like it may not happen. Not enough water to irrigate the crops, so the crops suck and the orchards are closed. You know, I've never been much for those apple picking places. I'd rather have someone pick them for me. I could drive way the hell out to Yucaipa or Julian and sweat and pick, or I could go to Ralphs up the street or the Farmers Market on Sunday morning and get apples in a few minutes for a reasonable price. Wait, what were we talking about again? Oh, right, drought. Bad. (KNSD-TV/San Diego)
