Bro, I Just Noticed, That Bro's Not A Bro, Bro
-
I bow to nobody in my dislike of fraternities. I even went to a college that didn't have fraternities, partially because of that very fact. But fraternities are fraternities and sororities are sororities... or are they? At Wesleyan, the school ordered fraternities to admit women, and a frat is suing the school over it. Should some all-male or all-female institutions be allowed to discriminate? Does the nature of the organization -- a "brotherhood," for example -- matter? And would you agree to that if it was discrimination based on religion or race? See, not quite as cut-and-dried. (Washington Post)
