The Ronald McDonald statue sitting on a bench outside the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago was decapitated, and I guess you could talk about why young guys think it's hilarious to decapitate or mutilate or steal statues. We all thought it was funny once. It's just stupid and destructive. But the other thing is this: What the hell is a Ronald McDonald statue doing outside a radio and TV museum, anyway? Yeah, the character was on TV commercials, but they don't have a Kool-Aid Pitcher Guy or Flo from Progressive or that guy from Empire Today, do they? (WBBM-TV/Chicago)
