Nothing Wrong With The 'Old' Park That A Roof Extension Wouldn't Help
-
When the new Arlington ballpark for the Texas Rangers was announced, taxpayers were told that it was all good because the costs would be split 50/50 and the city would pay its half from a hotel/entertainment tax. Turns out this was pure bullsh-t. An investigation into the deal now finds that most of the tax money will be handed to the Rangers to pay the team's share, leaving local taxpayers on the hook to pay off the half-a-billion. Politicians get away with this because people keep voting for the same crooks who rip them off. (WFAA-TV/Dallas)
