Political strategy question: We know that a lot of Trump's statements are directly contradicted by his own old tweets, and he's said a lot of embarrassing things over the years on Twitter. But his campaign has not deleted the tweets, leading to further embarrassment like the thing about the Chinese and climate change. Okay, then, the strategy question: Should campaigns scrub Twitter? Should they go back and get rid of old, offensive or embarrassing tweets? Or is it likely that someone, somewhere will produce the tweets and the erasure itself will be an embarrassment? Is it better to leave them there and deal with it, or get rid of them and hope nobody notices? What's the right move? (Los Angeles Times)
