Why I Prefer Flat Courses
-
A woman went running at Hollywood's very popular, very crowded, and very steep Runyon Canyon, and, long story short, she fell 75 feet off a cliff. I have run up that thing and I can imagine how it happened. And if a neighbor at the top of the hill hadn't looked down and seen her bleeding, she probably would have bled out there. I often wonder why people (like myself) will try running or hiking places where you end up in some danger, and "because it's there" is not an option, folks. Have you ever found yourself in a tight spot, at the edge of a sheer dropoff or unable to get back to where you were? (KCBS-TV/Los Angeles)
