Deadliest highway in the nation: Route 99 in Central California. Not that shocking, in that it's an antiquated, too-narrow highway going through a region that has its share of trucks, agricultural vehicles, and hard-drinkin' types. But it's not even that close- Hwy. 99 had 62 fatal accidents per 100 miles over 5 years, with second place going to I-45 in Texas with 55 fatalities per 100 miles and I-95 from Maine to Florida. What road in your area seems, to you, to be the most dangerous? (Merced Sun-Star)
