Take A Nap, Let Someone Else Drive... That Isn't The Worst Commute, Actually
-
What's the longest commute you'd put up with? Some folks use the cheap Megabus to commute from Philadelphia to New York, because the cost of living is ridiculously lower in Philly. Granted, you're spending 4 hours on a bus every work day, but when housing is less than half the cost and you get all the benefits of a major city and more room, that might be worth it. $400 for the bus each month ($680 for the SEPTA/NJ Transit train, but that takes longer) and you have a better living situation. Is that worth sitting for two hours on the discount bus? But, you know, the commute can be brutal even just to the New York suburbs, so it's not that outrageous to do a two hour commute.
