'Stop, Drop, Roll'? 'Ready, Aim, Fire'? 'Duck And Cover'?

Ever wonder where the new mantra for reacting to an emergency, "run, hide, fight," came from? After all, as in the Ohio State apparent terrorist attack, that's what they tell everyone to do. But it's not always applicable or the right thing to do, and it all came from a Houston police video advising you to, um, run, hide, and fight, and it was based on... not research or experience or anything, just gut instinct/"common sense." Is this what you'd do? Do run, hide, and fight seem to be the best reaction when someone's deliberately running people down and then stabbing those who try to get away? (WBNS-TV/Columbus)
