One thing that hasn't abated, whatever the economy, is that in some cities, people pay insane amounts -- hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy, hundreds a month to rent -- parking spots. New York, for example. Or San Francisco, or Washington. Too few places to put a car. But there's hope in ride sharing, with more people just plain not needing the headache and expense of a car. Can you foresee the day when you won't own your own car? Could you get by with Uber/Lyft or public transit? (NBC News)
