Reparenting Our Inner Wounded Inner ChildHealing our wounded inner child is also known as reparenting.
It enables us to provide the emotional support we missed out on as we were developing, which created our current day maladaptive coping mechanisms.
Reparenting our inner child involves becoming mindful of, and then soothing the pain that was formed in childhood, when our emotional needs were not met.
There are many benefits to minding our own inner child work. They include boosting our feelings of safety, helping us regulate our emotions and nervous system, enhancing our self-esteem and uncovering unknown talents, passions and dreams.
